ACTION ALERT: Keep solar working for Massachusetts!

May 27, 2015

We need your help to keep solar working for Massachusetts!  Join our June 2nd Thunderclap. Click here to sign up or read below for more information.

Investing in solar power is an investment in the Commonwealth’s energy future and economy. Solar is supporting more than 12,000 local jobs, driving billions of dollars of investment in our state’s economy  and reducing the need for expensive, polluting fossil energy —delivering real benefits to Massachusetts families and businesses.

Due to an unnecessary cap on net metering, the successful policy that gives customers fair credit on their utility bills for their valuable solar energy, hundreds of projects in 171 towns and cities that could be moving forward are at a standstill. To prevent the loss of jobs, investment, savings and environmental benefits, action is needed now.

Please help us send a clear message to our legislators on June 2nd: We need immediate action so solar can keep working for Massachusetts.

Why June 2nd?  The Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy Committee is hosting a solar hearing at the State House on June 2nd.  It's a great day to make sure all of our legislators know that solar is supported across the Commonwealth.
