Catalyzing Community Solar in the Northeast

June 9, 2016 to June 10, 2016

This is the third of four FREE regional events for the National Community Solar Partnership.

A recent U.S. Department of Energy and National Renewable Energy Laboratory report estimates that nearly 50% of consumers and businesses are unable to host PV systems due to a number of factors. The Partnership’s goal is to help unlock community solar to expand solar access to all Americans, with specific emphasis on serving low- to moderate-income (LMI) households.

This workshop will bring together national experts, state and local officials, industry representatives, utility providers, environmental justice advocates, and other key players to share success stories, discuss common challenges and goals, offer troubleshooting advice, and identify strategies to catalyze community solar projects and engage low and moderate income households in your region to be shared through national partnership activities.

Agenda: June 9 – 8:30a - 4:30p – Day-long interactive workshop at the EPA Region 1 HQ - Boston, MA

June 10 – Tentative afternoon solar site visit (TBD)
